Tucson, Ariz. -- February 23, 2005 -- The search for off-campus housing for students at the University of Arizona has just gotten a little easier. Two local residents and U of A students have created UARentals (UAR) and an easy way for students looking for housing and property owners looking for those students to make contact through their Web site www.UARentals.com.
With the ever-increasing student population fueling a strong rental market around the University of Arizona, almost half of all existing apartment complexes in greater Tucson cater to the university students. Many students, however, encounter difficulties when searching for information on these properties. UAR was created to offer an online property listing service featuring rental properties focused solely on the University of Arizona. UAR also provides an advertising opportunity for property owners of homes and apartments surrounding the University to more effectively advertise to students.
"We recognized that searching for off-campus housing can be a stressful and time-consuming ordeal," said Kevin Bukata, Co-founder of UAR. "We wanted to offer a comprehensive, time-efficient and cost-effective way for students and property owners to find each other; our solution was UARentals.com."
Founded in May of 2003 UARentals, a division of Spherias Software, LLC, was built to serve the property rental market surrounding the University of Arizona. Recognizing the dual needs of owners and students, UAR set out to simplify the process of matching renters with ideal properties. Using the internet as the basis of communication, UAR provides a centralized database which renters have long sought after. Providing student with a greater amount of information and offering owners more exposure for their properties, UAR aims solve the inefficiencies that have plagued the property renting process for many years. |
